Meet Gianna! She was rescued from the shelter after being found as a stray. Gianna is a gem! Not only is she adorable, but she is a total snuggle bug that loves to sneak in an occasional kiss to show affection. She sees her human through the lens of perfection and will be your biggest fan. She will follow you from room to room, and she wakes up in the morning with excitement to see you (as if she hasn’t seen you in years). Her mornings are filled with joyful jumps in the air to tell you how much she has missed you during the hours of rest. She becomes so attached to her human that she needs her human to accompany her outside to go potty. She won’t go on her own…yet. This might change.

On walks, she doesn’t pull but does look to her human for reassurance. If you are walking near a busy street, she shows concern for the passing cars, so it is important to have a martingale collar on her at all times. She is a lower energy dog and not hyper. She doesn’t require long walks but would be up for the it if that is the lifestyle of her owner. She could go either way. She is not a barker and is rather quiet. Her only behavioral issue is she doesn’t like to share attention in her foster home with their other dog. She is fine with him out on walks. She has been fine with other dogs in every other situation (on walks and in other peoples’ homes with dogs), so she need to live in a home with neutral dogs and an experienced dog owner, or she needs to be in a household where she is an only dog.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Gianna is patiently waiting!
