Meet Gina! Gina was rescued from a rooftop in Daejeon during freezing winter weather, along with 24 other dogs (originally one dog whose repeated, unchecked breeding grew the group to 21, plus additional puppies born after rescue began, totaling 25). The dogs had been living exposed to the cold on a trash- and waste-covered rooftop with only each other for warmth. Our rescue partner negotiated with the owner to rescue the entire group.

Gina is quiet, gentle, and reserved — a dog who needs time to trust (potentially over a month) but rewards patience with deep devotion. She has a cute food-loving, cat-like side, quietly observing and following her person. She’s more comfortable and trusting on walks than at home. She doesn’t approach unfamiliar people and prefers to be waited for rather than approached. Ideal home: a patient family (more than one member, for stability) who respects her pace, doesn’t force interaction, and gives her space to open up over time. Once bonded, she becomes an especially devoted companion.

We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Gina is patiently waiting!
