Meet Waffles! Waffles is an approximately 5-year-old sweetheart who was rescued from the shelter just before his time ran out. Now neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home, he’s hoping to find a family to love.

Waffles is a calm, gentle boy who loves people and gets along great with other dogs. His face lights up whenever someone walks into the room, and he enjoys following his foster sister, Luna, around the house and backyard. He’s potty trained, quietly lets you know when he needs to go outside, and is learning to use the dog door with no accidents in his foster home.

True to his mellow personality, Waffles rarely barks and would much rather spend his day sunbathing in the yard or curling up in a cozy dog bed with a plush toy near his people. He’s good on a leash but prefers leisurely strolls where he can stop and sniff every flower along the way.

He’s food motivated, knows his name, and is learning sit, come, and stay. One of his cutest habits is gently taking your hand and guiding it behind his ear when he wants scratches.

Waffles would love a person or couple to call his own. He’d do best in a home without young children, though older kids and young adults would make wonderful companions.

If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate best friend with a heart of gold, Waffles is ready to meet you.
