Hi, I’m Mishty. I’m a female 3-year-old Bichon Frise, about 17 pounds, and I’m looking for my forever home.

I didn’t have the best start in life—I came from a puppy mill—but kind people rescued me and made sure I got all the care I needed. The vet says I’m healthy now, and I’m ready to begin a new chapter.

I’m a gentle, shy girl who feels happiest in calm, quiet spaces. I don’t usually run up to meet new people right away—I like to watch and take my time—but once I feel safe, I really enjoy soft pets, brushing, and especially morning cuddles. I tend to bond more quickly with women, and I may need a little extra patience to feel comfortable around men, but I do get there.

I get along well with other dogs, and I’m okay with cats and kids too, as long as everyone is kind and respectful. I’m still learning things like crate training, housebreaking, and walking on a leash—but I’m trying my best every day. I walk nicely and like short, frequent strolls more than long adventures.

I love having my own cozy little spot—my favorite place is tucked under the sofa. I also enjoy using my nose to explore and sniff around, and I have a funny little love for veggies like cabbage and carrots!

I do get a little anxious when I’m left alone, but I don’t act out or destroy things. I just feel safer when I’m not by myself for too long. I also have some food sensitivities—shrimp and pork don’t agree with me—so I’ll need simple, low-allergen treats and meals.

More than anything, I’m looking for a calm, loving home with someone patient who will give me time to settle in and feel secure. I may be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be your quiet, loyal companion.

If you think you’re my forever home, complete an application and maybe we’ll get the chance to meet! I’ve been waiting for a place to call my own… maybe it’s with you. 🐾
