Meet Maddie! Maddie was brought into a high-kill shelter in 2025, where she gave birth to five puppies. She and her babies were rescued and were able to spend the cold winter in a warm, safe home. Four of her puppies have since found their forever families, but Maddie and her son, Dooli, are still waiting for theirs. Maddie is currently living in a foster home together with her son. Maddie can be a bit sensitive to loud noises, but she enjoys a calm and quiet environment. During the first 2–3 days, she may be a little shy, but she quickly warms up—approaching people with a wagging tail and gently asking for pets. She gets along well with other dogs and has no known allergies. Maddie would be a wonderful companion for a calm household, especially for a retired family or someone who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. Maddie will thrive in a home that will allow her the time she needs to open up. Maddie is patiently waiting!
