Maggie
Meet Maggie! Maggie came into rescue after her owner passed and is now looking for a forever home along with Jax. They do not need to be adopted together but they have been together when the owner was alive. Maggie is an absolutely gorgeous, super adorable girl. She is outgoing and friendly with both people and other dogs. Maggie is a wonderful mix of social and independent—she loves attention, but definitely likes to receive it on her own terms!
Maggie is wonderfully friendly, she is a social butterfly who gets along great with people (strangers) and other dogs. She loves spending time going to an office with her human and attending doggy daycare! Maggie has a very pleasant, mild energy level, making her a lovely companion. Having grown up with another dog (Jax), Maggie can thrive either as an only dog or in a home with other dogs and animals.
Maggie loves being outside, especially when the weather is cool. However, she is a passionate digger! She needs a secure yard and should always be supervised when she’s outside so she doesn’t try to landscape your garden. Maggie is a bit hard-headed and likes to live life on her own terms! Because she isn’t highly food-motivated, she needs an adopter who will use patient, consistent, positive-reinforcement training.
Maggie will need a refresher course on her fundamentals. Her house-training status is currently unknown, accidents still happen. She doesn’t know many commands, she isn’t crate-trained, and her leash manners need polish. She also cannot be trusted off-leash. When Maggie gets really excited, she can sometimes “nibble” a little bit. Maggie isn’t super motivated by food, however she looks a little chubby. Keeping her on a healthy diet and ensuring regular, consistent walks will help her trim down. Maggie is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
