Brief Bio:

Zara was rescued off the side of a mountain road on a rainy day by a rescuer who happened to be driving by and spotted her. Zara was suffering severely from an horrific eye injury caused by human cruelty. Not only did poor Zara had her eyes dug out but her back paw was either cut off or caught in a trap. The rescuer quickly rushed Zara to the vet where she got check out and had surgery to remove her eyes and her infected back paw. Zara went through a lot however she never lost her trust in people. Even with her sight gone Zara constantly seeks out attention. Thanks to our sponsors and supporters for making Zara’s rescue possible! Zara has now found her loving home!

Hi Melody! Things are going great! Zara is definitely still adjusting, but she’s settling in well, all things considered. She has most definitely found her forever home!! She is loved by everyone she meets and she and I have bonded so quickly. I’m in awe of her resiliency and courage. She’s an incredible little dog! She’s already putting on some weight and enjoys exploring the house and yard. She and her new sister, Zoë, are getting to know one another and are quickly becoming friends! Thank you so much for helping bring Zara home!
