Meet Prancer (aka Prancy Pants or Baby)! He is a sweet, smart, snuggly, playful, 5 month old baby puppy. He is a little shy at first, but then is just a loving snuggle-bug who loves to eat, play, and nap. He’s a little shy about new things and sounds. But he is food motivated, which will help a lot with training.

Prancer knows “sit,” “paw”, and “down”. He is okay on leash and doesn’t pull, but pauses when he is unsure about the sounds or situations (car horn honking, lawn mowers). He can be motivated by treats to keep moving.  He is good in the car. He loves to sniff the world when the car window rolled down just right.

He loves to play with other dogs. Sometimes he doesn’t realize that other pups are bigger than him and gets scared, but will keep playing if they are gentle with him.  He’s submissive and loves playing chase (both chasing and being chased), he’s a speedy puppy.  Prancer can also entertain himself by throwing around tennis balls, stuffies, and water bottles to chase after. He loves his toys and “hides” them in bed or carries them with him to snuggle with.

Prancer does okay with his foster’s cat, Bunz cat. Bunz cat is the boss of the house and he respects her, though he does try to groom her and wants to be next to her. He’ll try to get her to play by bowing, but she’ll just walk away.

He does well with older kids who are calm and understand to give him space and time. Prancer is a baby puppy, so has some learning to do. He’ll put his paws on you and look super cute if you have any sort of human food (or food in general). He does love a good chew to settle, so we have to make sure he has appropriate chews to chew. He is doggy door trained and potties outside in the backyard.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Prancer is patiently waiting!
