Harper

Hi… I’m Harper. And if you’re reading this, I’m hoping you might be my person.
I’m a female, 16-pound, cream-colored poodle mix with big, expressive eyes—at least that’s what my foster dad says. He also says my haircut is… “a work in progress.” Okay, fine—it’s a little rough right now. But underneath this slightly chaotic fluff is a very cute girl, I promise.
My story started a little uncertain. I was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter, which was scary and loud and not really my style. Luckily, some humans from Love and Second Chances saw me and decided I deserved something better. They said I had too much sweetness in me to be overlooked.
The shelter guessed I was 6 years old—but my vet laughed (in a nice way) and said I’m probably closer to 2. So basically, I’ve got that young energy with an old-soul charm.
I love toys. Like… really love them. If you have a toy box, I will empty it. Immediately. It’s kind of my thing. And if you get me a snuffle ball? Just know that it will become my prized possession. I like to carry it around like a trophy—it makes me feel important.
I’m also a professional lap dog. You sit down? I’m already on your lap. No invitation needed. I’ll roll over for belly rubs too—honestly, I insist on them.
I’m a smart girl, too—I sit on command and come when called (most of the time… unless there’s a squirrel emergency). Speaking of which… I do take my job as home security seriously. Squirrels? Suspicious. Backyard noises? Highly questionable. I will absolutely alert you to any potential “squirrel invasion.” You’re welcome.
I get along great with other dogs—my best friend is another stray from the same shelter. We’ve both come a long way together. I’m also doing really well learning leash walking, and I’ve got the hang of using a doggy door for potty time. At night, I go right into my crate like a good girl.
And here’s a bonus: I hardly shed. Seriously—there’s basically no hair in the brush. So you get all this fluff without the mess.
Kids? Love them. Cats? I’m not sure yet—we haven’t had a proper introduction.
I’m spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated—basically, I’m all set and ready to go. All I’m missing is my forever home. But here’s the thing… my foster mom is a little picky. She says only the best people get to meet me. (I agree with her, honestly.) So if you think you might be “the one,” start by filling out an application.
I’ll be here… probably sitting on someone’s lap, holding my snuffle ball, waiting for you.
