Meet Halo! Halo is an adorable 4 year old French bulldog. Halo is just the best dog!! She is loving and is always happy to get scratches from her person. She likes to put her face right up against your face and quietly sniff while snorting as a way of showing her love for you. She doesn’t like to cuddle and definitely is not a lap dog! She will greet strangers and allow them to pet her but she can be shy. Her personality shines when she is comfortable and secure.
Halo is a toy hoarder! She loves collecting all the toys and relocating them into her crate or on her dog bed. She gets a kick out of playing with toys all on her own. She will toss them up into the air and then run and chase them down. She is perfectly happy entertaining herself with a squeak toy. Although she is playful, Halo prefers to spend the majority of her day napping. A dog bed in the window is her dream come true.
She is playful with other dogs and likes to play tug of war. Halo has not shown signs of resource guarding with her toys or her food.
Leash training has gone well and she now understands how to go on a walk. She walks right beside or slightly behind you. Halo only pulls when she sees a bird or cat. Halo is still working on her potty training. She will go outside as long as the back door is open. If the door is closed, she will potty in front of it. She will also choose to go inside if the door is open and it’s cold out. Halo HATES the cold!
Halo would do best in a home without stairs. Halo needs to be carried down stairs as she does not quite understand how they work. On the few occasions she has attempted to go down the stairs on her own, she has slipped and missed a few steps. We recommend a home with children 10 years and older. She is frightened of smaller children and will try to hide when they are present.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Halo is patiently waiting!
