Hi. My name is Roger. I’m a 16-pound, male Bichon Frise mix with what my foster mom calls a “big personality.” Personally, I think that’s just code for I make life more interesting. I’ve also been told I have a big heart, but you’ll have to meet me to fully appreciate that part.

They say I was a stray. I say I was on an extended adventure. Eventually, my adventure landed me in a shelter. Not my favorite place—but that’s where my story took a turn. The folks at Love and Second Chances saw me and said, “He looks like a happy camper.”  So they rescued me!  And you know what? They weren’t wrong.  Even then, I figured things would work out.

The shelter guessed I was about 7 years old. My vet disagreed—said I’m probably closer to 4. I’ll let you decide. I’ve got youthful energy and mature charm. Best of both worlds.

Now I’m living the good life in my foster home, and let me tell you—I stay busy. I’m curious about everything. I explore. I play. I entertain myself if needed (I’m quite talented at that). Toys? Love them. Balls? Absolutely. Stuffies? Yes, please.  But tug-of-war? That’s my game.

When I’m not playing, I switch modes. I’m a professional lap dog. I’ll curl right up with you like it’s my full-time job.

During the day, I like to supervise. Cooking? I’m there. Chores? I’m there. Wherever my foster mom goes, I’m her little shadow. She says I’m a good boy—and honestly, I work hard to live up to that.

I’ve got some solid skills too:

  • I walk nicely on a leash
  • I do well on car rides (no drama, just vibes)
  • I get along great with other dogs—I’ve got some friends at my foster home and my foster mom says we are well behaved.
  • Kids? Big fan

I’m doing really well with potty training. I use the dog door like a pro and I’m learning how to let you know if it’s closed. I get to free-roam during the day (because I’m trustworthy like that), and I’m getting more comfortable in my crate too.

Now let’s talk favorites:

  • Watching the world go by from the window
  • Sleeping in bed with my humans
  • Long, cozy naps

Oh, I have a special talent – I’m a World-class twerker — scratch my butt and I’ll show you my signature move.

I’m neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Basically, I’m all set—I just need my person.  Someone who wants a dog with personality. Someone who doesn’t mind being followed around. Someone who appreciates a little goofiness mixed with a lot of love.

If you think that might be you, go ahead and fill out an application to meet me.  Just… fair warning—my foster mom is picky.  But honestly? I think I’m worth it.
