Meet Ponyo! Ponyo is a lovely Formosan Mountain Dog who is unfortunately looking for her new home as her owners health is failing and is no longer able to give her the care she deserves. Ponyo adores her walks. Sniffing, rolling in grass all while keeping an eye on her person and responds when asked to come. Predictably she will lie next to you on the couch, rest her head on you when she wants pets and turn her head away when she’s had enough. Ponyo is highly food motivated. One of her favorite past times is keeping her person company, nose in the air ever-hopeful that something might find its way to the floor. While she’s not into enclosed dog parks, she has also boarded with Pet Camp when her owner has to travel. Looking for a person who appreciated the traits of FMDs (intelligent, independent). She would be best suited as a single dog in the home. If you can offer Ponyo patience, love, and plenty of snacks, she will reward you with unwavering devotion. We are looking for a breed savvy home willing to give this sweet girl a forever home! Ponyo is patiently waiting!
