Meet Hani! Hani is an adorable 2 year old Jindo mix. She was rescued from the local shelter where she was on the euthanasia list. Luckily she made it out before her time ran out. When she arrived at her foster from the shelter, she was scared, which is understandable as it must have been a huge change in her life. After exploring the house for a few hours, she slowly approached her foster and started to open up. Once opened up, she attaches to her people. Now, Hani is so friendly and sweet to everyone she meets!

Hani always wants to say ‘hi’ to people, even to the strangers on the street. Hani is wonderful with all dogs, however she does show a bit of resource guarding with other dogs around her food. She’s never bitten but will give a low growl. This can be a survival tactic she picked up when she was a stray. When there are no food around she is very playful and sweet with other dogs! Hani is totally good with people even if her foster tries to pull foods out of her mouth. She eats everything very well and likes to sleep on the floor or rug.

She gets excited easily and may have some excitement pee when her foster comes home. For some reason, Hani enjoys playing with socks rather than toys. She loves to go out for walks, especially walking on the hill but doesn’t know how to go up and down on the stairs. She likes to sniff around plants and grass and tend to pick up stuff on the street so just watch out to make sure she doesn’t eat things off the street.

Hani is a fast learner. If you teach her things, she would get it pretty quickly. She knows how to wait when her foster puts the harness on her. An ideal home for Hani would be a home who would show her lots of affection that she’s been missing her whole life. An active home who will regularly take her out on walks. Her home can have another dog as long as they are fed separately and do not have treats or bones lying around.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Hani os patiently waiting!
