Meet Chewy! Chewy is an adorable 3 year old Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Chewy followed his foster’s two dogs home on a walk. He had no collar but was microchipped. They contacted his original owners who were already looking to re-home him as he kept escaping and getting lost, due to some challenges in their family situation. His foster agreed to take him in and take on the re-homing process to ensure he didn’t escape onto the streets again in the meantime.

Chewy is very friendly and extremely cuddly. He loves sitting in his humans’ laps. He loves playing with other small dogs and would prefer to go to a home with another small, friendly dog. He is not trained to be off-leashed. Chewy will wander away and not come back when called by name if off-leash in public. His new home will need to make sure he is on leash at all times outdoors. He’s fine in enclosed backyards with secured fencing.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Chewy is patiently waiting!
