Helping death-row, abused, and neglected dogs find forever homes. We do not discriminate by breed, age or special needs. As long as we’re capable of helping out, we will never say no!

Bruno

Name Bruno
Gender Male
Age 8 months old (As of 2/15/2023)
Breed Jindo mix
Weight 30lbs.
Dog Bruno can be apprehensive meeting new dogs at the park. If they don’t rush into his space, he’ll approach them. After saying his hello, he’s up for a chase
Cat N/A
Kids Bruno would do best in a home with older kids or teenagers who are patient with him as he comes out of his shell. Younger kids may be too energetic for him.
Crate-trained Ok in crate
Housebroken Yes
Leash Bruno is easy on leash. When he first arrived in his foster home, he was fearful of going on walks. On his first few days, he consistently pulled in an effort to hide underneath big trucks/vans or behind bushes. Over a few weeks of leash training, he built his confidence on walks. He may exhibit fear in new areas, but he loosens up as he gets familiar with an area. It is recommended that he continues to wear a no-escape harness on walks.
Barker No
Adoption fee $650
Location Fostered in Oakland/Emeryville, CA
Additional Note Korea International program

Have you seen the film Encanto? Bruno is just like his namesake. When he first arrived from Korea, he would hide all day under his foster’s bed. He needs a Maribel in his life – someone confident and nurturing to coax him out of his shell. With a quiet, loving environment, his own confidence will emerge. He is very affectionate with his foster mom.  Although he prefers to sleep beneath the bed, he often asks to be carried up to bed for cuddles with belly and ear rubbing. He would benefit from having another dog in the house, a playful and well-socialized dog that can “mother” him. Once he feels safe, you’ll see his tail wag confidently, especially at dog parks where he likes to explore and play.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Bruno is patiently waiting!
