UPDATE: Kymo has found her forever home!
“Dear Melody,
Thank you so much for finding me my forever home. I knew that it would be forever right away. There is so much to tell. At home I live with mom, dad, my brother Jesse and my brother Blue….who is a cat. Every morning Blue and I play chase together; he also likes to go and sit inside my crate. I don’t spend much time in my crate.
Every weekday I go to my mom and dad’s office; mom bought me a seatbelt and I curl up and take a nap for 30 minutes. I have made new friends at work and at the dog park already. One day mom’s assistant brought her dog Nellie (mini Jack Russel) to play with me; she is 5 months old; we wrestled and ran around the office a lot; almost every day my nephew “Bear” (yorkie mix) comes to the office in the afternoon; he does not want to wrestle but still he keeps things interesting.
The first day at the dog park I was really scared but then some dogs came to play and now I don’t remember why I was scared…every morning I go to play there; I like to run around with a westie and a standard poodle named Dre….mom let go of the leash and let me run free…I met a nice lady from Taiwan who told mom that I would be great off leash…sometimes she lets go and I just walk beside her. One night she took me to a friend’s house and I was introduced to 2 sharpei dogs who were friends with my late brother Chester. They were really nice. I met my new vet and everyone there was really nice; they said I was very healthy and that you had taken amazing care of me while I was waiting for a home. At night, we hang out and play ball ; at bedtime, I go to sleep with mom, dad and Blue and I usually don’t get up till morning.
There are many new things to experience…and I am very curious…like electric toothbrushes…mom’s singing…the rain…large boisterous dogs (already over that one)…mostly I just tilt my head to the side, and put my ears on high alert. I heard my mom and dad talking about how I have great eye contact. When I wake up, before I go to the bathroom, I roll on my back or side and get lots of kisses and belly rubs…I am not perfect…but almost…I like to tear up the newspaper and find things to chew on like screwdrivers, cat poop, Q-tips but they catch me pretty quickly and every night my brother gives me a little chewy ; he also gave me his entire box of stuffed animals.
Anyway…that is it for now…I am leaving for our Saturday morning dog and owner play group at Stern Grove…I will keep you updated. Thank you for changing my life. My new family seems pretty happy too.
Love, Layla (aka Kyomo)”

Brief Bio: Meet Kymo! Kymo is a very beautiful girl who was abandoned at a rural country side without food or water. Poor Kymo had to search for food to stay alive but encountered many unfriendly people along the way who did all they could to hurt her. Thankfully one of our rescue partners was able to get her off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. Kymo is a very smart girl who loves to be around people and other dogs as well as cats. Kymo is a true velcro dog and is always eager to please. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a pup. Kymo is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
