Bomi
Meet Bomi! Bomi was born in the backyard of an elderly man who bred and neglected multiple dogs for meat. She was still only a puppy, yet before she ever felt warmth, safety, or love, she was already forced into motherhood. It was far more than her small body and young heart could handle. Among a large group of dogs, she was constantly pushed down the hierarchy, denied food, and attacked without reason. With no comfort and no place to rest, she endured each day simply to survive.
Eventually, she had no choice but to escape the only place she had known. With her tiny body, she crossed a 10-lane highway, not out of bravery, but out of desperation — just trying to stay alive and find something to eat. Her skin was raw, her fur was falling out in patches, and she wandered quietly among people until she met local caregivers, the “food moms” who fed stray dogs. Seeing her staggering toward them, they knew immediately she was in danger. They fed her, cared for her, and hoped she would stay safe one more day. But the streets were becoming more dangerous, and it was clear that her life was at risk. She was rescued urgently, just in time.
Since her rescue, Bomi has healed — both physically and emotionally. She is now learning what it feels like to be safe, to rest, and to receive gentle affection without fear. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, and her calm, loving nature shines through more every day. Bomi is ready to become someone’s family. She doesn’t need a perfect home — just a home where she will be loved for the rest of her life, and where she can finally live not as a survivor, but as a cherished companion.
