Helping death-row, abused, and neglected dogs find forever homes. We do not discriminate by breed, age or special needs. As long as we’re capable of helping out, we will never say no!
Meet Jacob! Jacob is an adorable 7-8months old FMD mix. Jacob was rescued with his litter mates, there were a total of 6 puppies in the litter. They were left on the side of an abandoned field at only 1 month old in the cold winter season. When rescuers found them, they were huddled together shivering. On the way to the hospital, the rescuers tried to warm them up with blankets and heater. They were brought into emergency room and barely survived. These pups were seriously emaciated and because of this are smaller than other pups their age.
Jacob is a very sweet boy, but is very shy when meeting new people. Because they were under-socialized and had a rough past, it takes a little time for them to open up. Once they feel safe, their affectionate and playful personalities shine. He loves to follow his rescuer around the house. Because he was a stray, he has resource guarding with food and other dogs. Without food, he is very playful and loves to run around outside. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Jacob is patiently waiting!
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
