Meet Kilo! Kilo is an adorable 6 months old German Shepherd! He came into foster needing to be rehomed, as his previous family was unable to keep him due to moving. Kilo is otherwise healthy, happy, and incredibly playful. Kilo is expressive, socially-intelligent, affectionate and has high energy levels that match his quick learning capacity. Kilo is a goofy boy and has silly expressions and mannerisms, such as using an empty food bowl for eye-covers when sleeping in his crate during the day and rolling around on the rug for fun. Kilo is enthusiastically curious to learn the world around him. Despite Kilo’s ability to form quick relationships with people and other dogs, he does not showcase separation anxiety. In his short time with his foster, Kilo learned to sit, paw, lie down, wait, and ask to go potty. Kilo wears a diaper when inside his foster home as he pees when excited, something that will subside as he matures. He will be self-sufficient if there is a dog-door for potty in his new home. Kilo enjoys nibbling on chhurrpi chews and toys as he still losing baby teeth, and has not destroyed any furniture or showcased any interest in doing so. Kilo gets along well with his 3 foster siblings who are jindos of different ages, and loves a good game of chase with them at the local dog park. He plays well with high-energy dogs of any size who are willing to engage. Kilo was observed to have prey drive towards indoor cats, but not towards outdoor cats.An ideal home for Kilo is one with consistent opportunities to explore and be active every day. As a White German Shepherd, Kilo is a natural working breed and needs plenty of physical activity and socialization with other dogs to thrive. Kilo will be best in a home with another dog who appreciates playing chase or friendly rough-housing. Kilo’s new pawrent(s) must be experienced dog owners who are familiar with the time investment to solidifying and maintaining Kilo’s training. Kilo is patiently waiting!
