Meet Ping Pong! Ping Pong is an adorable 4 year old Maltese! She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was kept in a small crate her entire life. Ping Pong quickly won her foster over with her cuteness, but watching her spunky, mischievous nature peak through has been a joy for them. At times, she can be a bit skittish. Because of this, Ping Pong is not recommended with young children because fast hands moving toward her make her bolt (or nip if she feels cornered).

Ping Pong is great on leash, but walking on busy roads is still a bit scary.  She isn’t high-energy and a couple short walks will suffice. She ignores strangers that pass by. The crate is her safe spot and she prefers to sleep there at night in her foster’s bedroom. She’s extremely food-motivated so getting her to do stuff is pretty easy. She’s about 80% pee-pad trained in the house and has started to go to the bathroom outside. She hasn’t been tested with other dogs in her current foster, but we think she’d be OK with another small respectful dog since she grew up at the mill around other dogs.  Ping Pong is not cuddly but she likes scratches and occasionally will come over and sit by her foster to obtain them. She hasn’t exhibited any prey drive with birds/squirrels and hasn’t been cat tested yet.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Ping Pong is patiently waiting!
