Meet Daisy! (FKA Aurona.) Daisy was rescued with her littermates when they were found on a mountain trail by morning hikers. They were all brought to the vet, nurtured by rescuers to good health, and adopted out. Daisy was adopted, and then returned after two months when she couldn’t adjust to the city life. She’s been with her foster mom for a while, and now she’s ready for her permanent home!
Daisy is a sweet, loving, spunky girl, who is full of life and love. She is initially a little shy, and needs some encouragement in new situations, but once she gets comfortable, she is a goofy, playful puppy, who loves to snuggle and be adored. Daisy does great with other dogs, is fine with cats, is good on leash, is house trained, knows the doggie door, will go in the crate, and loves the car.
Daisy has some digestive issues (IBD) that will probably need lifelong management. She has difficulty putting on weight, and has a tendency to vomit with stress. Major illnesses have been ruled out through testing, so management will involve diet, anti-nausea medication, and a low-stress environment. She is responding well at her foster home, eating voraciously, and having gained 1/2 a pound!
Daisy would do best in a suburban home, with a quiet family that doesn’t have a lot of frequent guests. She would do best in a family with adults only, or mature teenagers, and she is gentle enough that she would do fine in a home with elderly people as well.
Daisy is eagerly waiting for her perfect forever home, that can manage all of her needs with love and patience.
