Meet Maru! Maru is a thoughtful, observant companion who thrives on consistency and routine. Like many Jindos, he appreciates knowing what to expect and settles best when daily activities are predictable. Simple routines such as using familiar walking routes or putting on his harness in the same location before walks—help him feel secure and confident. He is the kind of dog who enjoys being part of your daily life. Maru has accompanied his foster family to bookstores, outdoor restaurants, appointments, and other outings, where he is content to quietly relax nearby and take in the world around him.
Maru is incredibly easy to live with. He is clean, quiet, well-mannered in the home, and has excellent house habits. He has never had an accident in his foster home, sleeps soundly through the night, and rarely barks. He enjoys being brushed, has a gentle mouth, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. He knows “sit” and has an excellent “leave it.” While he is still learning the basics, he pays attention to the people around him and enjoys being included in everyday life.
His ideal home would be with adults or older children who appreciate a sensitive, intelligent dog and are willing to continue building his confidence through positive experiences. In return, Maru offers the quiet companionship, loyalty, and good manners that make Jindo’s such rewarding dogs to live with.
