oscar

UPDATE: We’re very happy to share that Oscar has found his loving forever home! Oscar is now enjoying the good life having lots of fun with his new fur-sister Emmy! Oscar is learning that the world is not a scary place and getting all the love he needs. Enjoy your life Oscar!

“Hi Melody, I wanted to report our progress with Oscar Wally Ranger. He’s doing great overall. He get along really well with our dog Emmy. They play all day long and play all sorts of game from tug, wrestling, keep away, stealing toys and just plain chase. We’ve taken Wally to dog parks where he slowly meets new dogs but loves to try and keep up with his fast running sister Emmy. Emmy often shields him from the bigger dogs and keeps him under her watchful eye. Our cats don’t seem to mind him too much and he’s not running after them that much either. Potty training is coming along. He peed on the street during a walk yesterday for the first time! We celebrated. He also didn’t warm up to my husband Blake for about 5 days. But now Blake can put his leash on him and take off, they cuddle on the couch and play in and outdoors. All in all, our living together is working out! Yes! Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!! Best, Deb”

Brief Bio: Meet Oscar aka Oscar Wally Ranger! Oscar was rescued when he was found as a stray with a horrific neck wound. The rescuer rushed him to the vet where they quickly got him cleaned and stitched up. By the look of the wound the vet felt whoever did this to him was not only cruel but intended on killing him. We can’t believe how someone can be so heartless as to hurt an innocent puppy with the amount of cruelty. Oscar is a very sweet boy but not surprisingly he can be a bit shy/timid when meeting new people due to his traumatic past. With some treats and slow approach he opens up quickly and once he feels you aren’t going to hurt him he is 100% your buddy. Oscar is super smart and learns very quickly. He loves to be around his people and can make a great companion to the right now. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Due to Oscars past we are also looking for a home that will continue to show this sweet boy that the world is not a scary place. We see a lot of potential for this boy and know that with the right home and continued care he will slowly become braver and in time enjoy being a normal pup. Oscar is patiently waiting!
