UPDATE: We’re very happy to share that Sammy has found his loving forever home! Sammy is now enjoying the good life getting all the love and attention he deserves. We couldn’t be happier for this adorable boy! Enjoy your life Sammy!
“Hi Melody! Sammy has been a busy boy! He is in daycare on Thursdays so that he can play with other dogs and get socialized. He comes back all messy and exhausted from playing so much that he will fall asleep on the car ride back! On Sundays, he goes to a puppy social. Last week, we met another love&second chances rescue at the puppy social! Her name is Bella, but I think her original name was Angel :). Sammy is so smart and loves his toys. He brings over all his toys one by one to wherever the family is hanging out. He is sometime silly and tries to claim things as his toys – like our socks or even weights!! There’s a video I’ve linked – it’s hilarious.
Earlier this week, we had our first puppy training session at our home. We are learning a lot about how to provide the best environment for him. Can’t wait to update you on how well behaved he is in a few months!! Today, Sammy had his first grooming appointment. We took him to Blue Moon Pet Wash in Fremont and met Sonia who works with your rescue!! Such a small world – she was able to show me pictures of Sammy’s brother :). Maybe if they are in the area, we could arrange a play date for them! Check out some videos we’ve taken of Sammy here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9iK32r-LFJU6xmq5tJcUTA. Hope everything is well!! -Frances “

Brief Bio: Meet Sammy! Sammy was rescued along with his brother Sonny when they were found in horrible condition from a family that had adopted them from the shelter. Poor puppies were kenneled in a small crate and was never taken out during the time they were there. Sonny and Sammy were both covered in feces and urine when found and was both emaciated and hungry for attention. The rescuer took them straight to the vet where they were cleaned up and brought back to good health. Sammy is a sweet boy who loves to be around people, he is your average puppy who loves to romp around and play. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Sammy is patiently waiting!
