Meet Mona! Mona was loved by her family until her owner passed away. No one wanted to care for her afterwards, so she was set out on the street to be a stray. In June, 2016, Mona gave birth to four puppies in a rice field. Sadly, while the farmers were celebrating the rice festival in July, they turned on the rice cutting machine without noticing Mona and her pups. Two pups didn’t make it, the other two were injured badly. During this incident Mona ran to look for help. The injured pups were rescued; one became a 3-legged dog and the other one went through 70 stitches before he was completely recovered. Both has since been adopted. Mona experienced multiple traumatic experiences in her life, but still remains optimistic. Mona is a sweet girl who would love nothing more then to find her forever home. We are looking for an active family that understands the responsibilities of raising a dog as a member of their family. Mona is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
