No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Gordon was rescued when he was found on the side of the road after he was hit by a car and left to die. Gordon was paralyzed from the waist down after the accident but he didn’t lose her spirit! After going through treatment and surgery Gordon is now healthy and happy. Regardless of his special needs Gordon proved to everyone that doubted his quality of life that his life was worth saving. Now Gordon is enjoying the good life getting all the love and attention he deserves. Thank you to our supporters of continuing to give us the chance to rescue dogs like Gordon!

Hi Melody, I am smitten! Gordon is so sweet. He is ornery and mischievous, such a boy! But he LOVES to snuggle with his momma. He loves to eat – EVERYTHING – food, treats, sticks, acorns, rocks, and anything else he can find. The new ball has helped! And he’s learned “drop it”! Thank goodness!
I can honestly say, I’ve never seen a dog express such joy. Not just the momentary happiness of a treat, or contentment with some petting and snuggles, but pure joy. And it’s contagious – he has brought us to tears with happiness. We know without a doubt that Gordon belongs with us. He inspires us to see beyond the challenges that life can bring…to overcome…to be thankful…and to just be happy. We love him, Melody! Thanks for all the hard work that you do. You were absolutely right – it’s not always easy, but without a doubt, he is worth it!
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
