"Dumbo arrived July 16. We renamed her Kaili (pronounced like Riley). She has been a total joy. Only one potty accident. She has a wonderful personality and is a lot of fun. Things Kaili loves: playing fetch, watching birds, walks, car rides, stuffed animals, stuffed Kong’s, Himalayan stick, and, oh yeah, walks. Everyday she gets more comfortable with the sights, sounds, and smells of her new home. There is less barking two weeks after her arrival compared to her first few days. Kaili shows no signs of reactivity toward dogs or people, and loves meeting people while on walks. She sleeps in her crate at night (she’s not too thrilled about it) after we discovered that she wants to sleep on the bed with us. Kaili gets up at 5:30ish, and immediately plays with her stuffed animals. She has learned her new name quickly, knows sit, down, wait, working on come, and using the doggie door. She adores going on walks and has quickly picked up the cues that a walk is imminent, rattling of keys, retrieving the leash from the dog box. She sits in front of me, tail going a mile a minute, waiting to get hooked up. She waits patiently until she gets the okay to go outside. After coming home she goes into zoomies in the back yard! Kaili is a snuggle bunny! She loves jumping up on our laps and snuggling. She is going to Doggie Day care at Dogtopia twice a week. We are thrilled with how quickly Kaili has become a member of our family. Thank you Melody, and the team at Love&SecondChances!”
