Meet Dahlia! ? Dahlia is an adorable 4-5 year old French bulldog. She is a very special little Frenchie, a truly lovable lemon. She has not had an easy life and it shows. She has a droopy mommy body from bearing many litters as a puppy mill breeder and numerous callused, bare spots on her pressure points, a sign of years spent lying in a hard cage. She deserves so much love and care and finally has a second chance at love and happiness ?⁣

Despite her difficult former life, she’s a sunny, happy, trusting, comical little girl. She is great with all humans and children, always wanting to say hello, get pets, and better yet, get carried around and cuddled. She has met a lot of dogs, large and small, and happily sniffs all of them with curiosity. She has not had any scuffles with other dogs and shows no signs of resource guarding for food, toys, bedding, and her humans. She lives with an English bulldog foster brother and spends a lot of time cuddling with him on the couch and napping in the sun ?⁣

Dahlia’s met a lot of people during her time in rescue and everybody has been surprised at how friendly she is and charmed by her sweetness. She enjoys exploring her beautiful new world on short hikes and walks around the neighborhood. She snores very loudly when napping and makes piggy purring sounds when she’s happy. She’s doing well with her potty training, but she’ll need a family with patience as she learns to hold it and signal that she needs to go outside. Dahlia is a smart little girl that has quickly learned to sit and is working on her stay command.⁣

Her ideal family would love having a sweet, goofy dog that loves to be cuddled nonstop, a gentle dog sibling to show her the ropes and to cuddle when the humans are busy, and a small yard for playing and sunbathing. A plus would be a family with somebody frequently at home to let her out often as she works on her potty training.⁣

If you would love to adopt an incredibly loving, funny little girl and to show her how wonderful life can be, please fill out an application online. She is currently being fostered in Alameda, CA ?⁣
