Meet Jerry! Sweet Jerry (formerly Choco) is a happy, bouncy, friendly, playful, animated scruff-ball. He  is full of curiosity and enthusiasm, and he would love an active person or family. He is affectionate, gentle, and gives the best little kisses. He does great with other dogs, wanting to bounce around and play with any one he meets. (He also wants to play with any cat he meets, so wouldn’t be appropriate in a home with cats.) He has a great balance between wanting to hang out on the couch next to his foster mom, and wanting to run zoomies around the backyard with the other dogs.

Jerry loves walks, and does pretty well on leash. He does pull out of excitement when he sees another dog. He’s house broken, uses a doggie door, doesn’t chew things up, and isn’t an excessive barker. He does well in the car and enjoys going to new places.

Jerry is a 15 month old teenager puppy-boy. He needs a person or family who can continue working with him on things like leash-training, general manners, and rules and boundaries. He is very smart, and wants to learn! He has already made great progress with his foster mom in a very short time, on things like leash manners, waiting for meals, and patiently allowing grooming! Due to his previous experiences, he would not do well in a home with young children.

Jerry is being fostered in Sacramento. Jerry is patiently waiting for his new person or family!
