Meet Heidi, the 1 year old Jindo mix! Heidi is a sweet, loving, funny, and energetic pup and can be mistaken for a white fluffy snow ball! Her day of fun includes playing fetch/tug, wrestling with her foster brother and laying on her human’s lap.  She is like the dog version of Ted Lasso, a happy go-lucky pup with zero resource guarding and never gets mad. Her puppy like antics are so funny and consists of chasing her own tail, stealing her foster parent’s socks and slippers, picking up an oversize stick and chasing her 95lb foster brother during fetch time on the beach. She is a great partner in crime during their hikes with decent recall and rides well in the car.

Heidi is pad trained with the occasional accident and getting better with going outside to potty on command. A bit on the shy side with new people, but she quickly warms up. She gets skittish when being handled initially such as getting leashed and putting on her harness until she completely trusts you. It is hard for her to separate from her favorite humans and her new home will need to work on her separation anxiety.

Her ideal home is one that is patient and can go at her pace to open up, trust and continue with her obedience training. She will thrive with a relatively active family who enjoys the outdoor activities as much as she does (hikes, walks, fetch at the park/beach). While she is good with entertaining herself, she tends to look for her foster brother after a short time to play or cuddle and will benefit from a home that has a friendly dog. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Heidi is patiently waiting!
