Meet Haetsal! Haetsal is a sweet and delightful 2 years old Jindo mix looking for a loving home. His name means sunshine. Heatsal was tied up on a short chain leash less as well as his mother dog. The rescuer found both of them in early 2023 without food nor water. Since then, the rescuer often went to provide water and food. The only thing the owner was giving Haetsal and his mom some leftover human food.

Haetsal’s doghouse was in a dilapidated state, infested with bugs and spider webs. Haetsal’s mother dog died in May 2024 and that’s when Haetsal began to refuse to eat food. The rescuer was worried but the owner didn’t want to give up on Haetsal until an accident happened in early August of 2024. Haetsal was attacked by other dog around and had to visit to the vet in hurry but the owner did not want to spend money on him nor cared him. This is when the rescuer was able to rescue Haetsal.

Haetsal is exceptionally friendly and affectinae dog. He displays remarkable trust and affection towards people. He easily shows his belly and wanting to be petted. Even on the first day at the foster home, he showed his belly. Haetsal stayed at a Dog boarding place for first three months so he learned how to play with dogs and how to walk nice on leash. Heatsal’s trainer describe him as ‘A kind and gentle dog’. Haetsal is normally good with fur friends and did not have any problem so far.

Haetsal enjoys his walks and behaves well on a leash. He wears both harness and collar for safety which does not bother him at all. But he has been practicing to walk on leash in crowded areas. He does not get scared of people or cars. But he gets scared of loud noises such as construction sites. He is getting used it.

We are looking for a home that has patience and will allow Haetsal the time he needs to adjust and give him the full opportunity to learn what it means to be in a loving home. Haetsal is patiently waiting for a home to call him own!
