This 3-year-old liver-nose Shih Tzu is as gentle as they come. Chewy is a super sweet, soft, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and feels happiest being next to his humans.
When he first arrived, he would flinch when someone reached out to pet him — a sign that life hasn’t always been kind to him. But day by day, he’s learning that he deserves love, safety, and gentle hands. Now, he’s starting to lean into pets, wag his tail more, and open his heart a little wider each day.
While he’s an indoor sweetheart through and through, outdoor adventures can sometimes feel overwhelming for him — so he’ll need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence with some gentle walk training and positive reinforcement.
