Meet Zholdas! One of our LSC volunteers happened to be getting into her car at a dog-park, and saw a man taking Zholdas and his little family out of a trash can in the back of a van. He let them loose into the parking lot! Our volunteer and several bystanders chased and collected these little dogs, and the man put them back into the trash can and drove away. We found out that he took them from there to the shelter, where they weren’t doing well at all. They were shut down and trembling in fear. We immediately went and got them, found loving foster homes, and now Zholdas, his little sister, his mama, and his daddy are thriving and happy!
Zholdas has really blossomed over the last few days. Puppies are a lot of work, but Zholdas has been one of the easiest! At home, his foster home calls him their little kangaroo because of his bouncy, infectious energy. He’s a smart puppy that learns things quickly and is vocal about his likes and dislikes. We are working on kennel training, but he seems to have a lot of separation anxiety at this time and prefers to be in contact with his human as much as possible.
He needs a family that will help guide him through the process of building his confidence and trust, and ideally would thrive in a household with another playful dog or two. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Zholdas is patiently waiting!
