Meet Winnie! Winniw is an adorable 1 year old Jindo mix! Winnie was found with her brother as strays and brought to Haman city shelter in South Korea. At the shelter, they were badly bullied by other dogs and unfortunately her brother did not survive. Winnie was badly injured but is now fully recovered. Despite the traumatic experience, she has a very sweet and adorable personality.
Winnie is a fun and loving girl! She was adopted into a home with a cat who could not handle her playfulness, so was unfortunately returned. She is looking for a home where she can have a canine companion to play with, preferably medium size and up due to her high prey drive. She is currently fostered in a home with a 10yo 60lbs golden who “endures” her; he plays with her well and gives the “I’m done” bark (which she ignores!). Winnie is full of silliness and will warm the heart of everyone she meets!
She is crate trained overnight and when you need to leave the house for a couple hours. She is currently being fostered in a home without a yard. She goes on 4-5 walks per day, basic training refreshers, lots of play, puzzles and stuffed kongs, all of which renders her obedient. Her foster mom works from home and says that Winnie is super chill during the day, so long as she is regularly able to expel her energy and is close to her humans. At the dog park, she is social and likes to run and chase. She will do best in a home with a dog sibling who can match wits with her. If children are in your home, it’s best if they are in middle school or above who can handle a dog with a determined personality.
Her prior veterinarian has identified that hip dysplasia could be in her future, along with a possible eye condition that should be monitored. Her former family has maintained her pet insurance coverage through her time in foster. They request that pet insurance continues with her forever family, which will be transferred to you upon adoption and all of her medical records will be provided. In addition, once she has stopped growing, it is advised that she be put on joint supplements. We disclose this so that she is adopted by a family who not only loves her at first sight but also knows what is in store for them in the future.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Winnie is patiently waiting!
