Violet

Hello there! My name is Violet, and I’m a five-year-old Bichon Frisé. I’m a small, curly-haired French dog with a thick, soft undercoat. I was born in Korea and spent my early life in a puppy mill, which wasn’t my favorite. But luckily, a rescue organization in Korea saved me and gave me a temporary home. Later, Love and Second Chances invited me to join them in the United States, and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I even got my own Love and Second Chances ID tag, which I wear proudly.
Right now, I’m living with my foster parents and their senior dog, as well as another foster dog. I get along great with my foster humansb, other dogs (especially females), and even the human adults who visit. But since I don’t tolerate children well, I usually hide upstairs when they come over.
At night, I sleep in my crate and I’m so excited when someone wakes me up because it means I get to go potty and have breakfast. I’ve learned how to go outside to relieve myself whenever I need to. Since I’m a well-behaved dog, my foster parents trust me to be out of my crate while they’re away.
I haven’t had the chance to play with toys yet, which I know is common for dogs who have been in puppy mills. But I’m excited to discover the joy of playing soon! I’ve already mastered the art of climbing up the stairs, but going down the stairs is still on my to-do list.
I’m as sweet and cuddly as can be. I love to be rubbed on my belly and melt in your lap. I bark at strangers who come to the door but calm down once I meet them. I’m not afraid of other dogs (unless they’re big and aggressive), but I do enjoy talking. Sometimes, my talking sounds like growling, but I’m not mean, I’m just a big talker.
I have plenty of time for naps and snuggles. Just scratch under my chin, and I’ll be in heaven. I’m looking for a loving and caring family (without children) who will give me the attention and pampering I deserve. If you’re thinking about adopting me, please fill out an application and share a bit about yourself. Maybe we’ll meet and find a forever home together!
