Meet Toby! Toby is an adorable 4.5 months old, Shepherd/Hound mix! Toby and his siblings were rescued together when their time at a high kill shelter ran out. Toby is a very sweet and rambunctious puppy! He loves everyone he meets, people and dogs! This playful little guy is going through a typical puppy teething phase and will try to steal slippers off your feet! He will need a home who is ready to take on puppy energy and do basic obedience training.
Toby is amazing with other dogs and loves to run around and play as well as cuddle to sleep. He’s a snuggler and will find the nearest person or dog to snuggle with when he’s sleepy. He has no resource guarding whatsoever with humans and other dogs. He does need to work on potty training. He is around 80% pad trained and still working on going outside. With more consistency we are sure he will pick it up quickly! He does not like to be crated and will cry and whine a lot when crated, especially when left alone. Toby also will need some work with leash training, he walks on leash but will pull, zig zag and occasionally want to chew the leash. All of these are regular puppy behavior that he will overcome as he grows into an adult with proper training.
Overall Toby is an amazing little guy who’s bright personality will brighten up everyone’s day. He will be on the bigger side full grown with his big paws! He is looking for a home who understands the responsibilities or owning and raising a puppy. Toby is patiently waiting!
