Meet Tess! Tess is an adorable 2 year old Hound/Jindo mix. Tess was rescued with Julie and 19 other dogs from an illegal dog meat slaughterhouse on June 27-29, 2021. Save Korean Dogs and activists had been protesting at the illegal dog auction house in Paju City and they located some dogs on this private farm in Goyang. The dogs were being raised by their owner to slaughter and sell to the local dog meat restaurants. The old man released 19 dogs. He was charged and the dog farm and all the cages were demolished on July 1, 2021.
All the rescue dogs have been spayed/neutered, updated on all shots and microchipped. Import papers, Rabies and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis & Kennel Cough, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza virus, Parvovirus) Vaccine Certificates will be provided.
Despite being only two years old, Tess is an old soul at heart who loves curling up at your feet and napping. She loves getting neck and head scratches and having her beautiful coat brushed. She is an affectionate girl who loves to reward you with kisses!
Tess does very well being left home alone and has been trained to lay in her dog bed. She loves kibble and can graze on her food throughout the day or eat at specified times. She would do well in a home with a fenced-in yard or quiet neighborhood streets, as traffic noises scare her.Tess loves to play and run around with her dog friends, but she needs a home where she is the only dog. Her adopters must use a double leash with a martingale collar and harness to avoid her getting spooked and running off. Because of her past trauma we want to make sure she will be safe and avoid her getting loose.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Tess is patiently waiting!
