Meet Swell! Swell is an adorable 5 months old Jindo mix. She can be quite shy at first and it takes some time for her to warm up to humans and dogs. Swell will do best in a home with older children, 13+, because she is skittish and sudden movements or loud noises will scare her. Swell enjoys cuddling with her foster home’s dog, a big German Shepherd, and loves following him around. However, Swell is not very interested in other dogs. She does show signs of resource guarding with other dogs but not with the German Shepherd.

Swell is potty trained and does not use a pee pad, however she does not give signs of when she needs to go. It is important to take her out frequently to help her stay potty trained. With more time and consistency she will learn to be fully potty trained!

Swell is quiet at home and loves her durable chew toys and frozen treats.  She is very food motivated and does not have a sensitive stomach. She is great at entertaining herself with a rope or squeaky toy. Swell sometimes likes to grab shoes and socks to play with.

She sleeps in her crate every night. Sometimes she whines in her crate but would settle down if someone stays next to her for a few seconds. In addition to crate training, Swell is learning several commands (“come”, “sit”, and “down”). Swell walks well on leash but can get skittish with car noises. She can get nervous about going into a car but become very calm once she is inside.  She doesn’t like water but loves digging the sand at the beach.  Swell is a great lovable addition to any families.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Swell is patiently waiting!
