Meet Stephanie! Stephanie is an adorable 1 year old Lab/Pointer mix. Stephanie was rescued from the Korean meat farm where she was being raised for meat. Luckily rescuers were able to rescue them and take them out from their horrible situation. Stephanie is a very sweet and affectionate girl, but because of where she came from and the rough handling she received there, she can be shy meeting new people or new environments. However, she opens up quickly and will show her playful side!

When she first arrived to her foster home she only knew how to lay on the hardwood floor. Within a few days she learned what it’s like to sleep on a soft dog bed and has started to play with her first toys! Now she loves playing with stuffies and benebones! She also loves to give kisses! She is great with all dogs of all sizes too!

Stephanie does has separation anxiety. She would cry when she’s alone likely because she went from being neglected to a loving safe space that when she’s left, she’s scared her people won’t come back. Stephanie is currently undergoing crate training, she will cry a bit but is quiet if her people are in the same room. However, she still needs work on being crated alone. Stephanie needs training on leash. She is currently afraid of anything around her neck or body due to being rough handled around those area. Leash training will be slow for her but we are positive with time and lots of positive reinforcement, this girl will love all the adventures ahead!

Overall Stephanie is a total goofball who doesn’t know her own size. She is an amazing girl who overcame so much already. She just needs to learn to have confidence in herself and learn that not all people are bad. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning a dog as a member of their family as well as patience to show Stephanie the world is not a scary place. Stephanie is patiently waiting!
