Meet Shortie! Shortie is an adorable 6 years old Corgi. She lived her whole life in a puppy mill as a breeding dog. She was rescued after the puppy mill caught fire and is now living in a loving foster home.

Shortie is a very sweet dog who loves kids (she has a strong maternal instinct) and getting attention. She loves belly rubs, laying on your lap and all sorts of snuggles. Since she lived her whole life in a puppy mill, she does not have that many doggie skills, but she is quickly learning how to play with toys and chase around. She is working on her potty training (making great progress everyday!) and social skills. She is very gentle and affectionate, walks great on leash (shows interest when running into other dogs and may bark a bit) and is working on her recall (she just learned her name!).

Her ideal  home would be with another dog who can show her some doggie skills, and kids of any age would be good too as she is so gentle and maternal. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Shortie is patiently waiting!
