Meet Samuel (aka Sandeul)! Samuel is a cute 4 year old Schnauzer mix. He is a lovable dog who loves pets and the attention of his foster parents. He can be shy and a little cautious at first, especially with strangers, but will warm up quickly with a little patience, pets, and treats. He does not like being chased and quick movements, so he isn’t recommended for homes with young children.

He rarely barks and seems to be quite tolerant of city noise. While Samuel is less familiar with toys, he is becoming more curious about them. He is also great on the leash and loves his walks but is also happy to just relax indoors. Samuel is quite food motivated and is not picky with his food and treats. He is also house-trained and has never had an accident or exhibited destructive behavior indoors. He does not experience much separation anxiety and is good in a crate, though prefers a comfy bed, either his or his foster’s! He does well with other dogs similar to his size.

Samuel can still be jumpy in new environments, so we are looking for a loving family who can slowly introduce more of the world to him. Samuel is patiently waiting!
