Meet Rio! Rio is the sweetest and gentlest dog! After living on the streets, she appreciates the comfort of a warm and cozy home, and is a bit of a couch potato. She loves fluffy dog beds and blankets, watching TV, and having her head scratched.
She is very shy and extremely cautious with new people and places and needs a home with owners who will be patient as she learns to trust you and explores her new surroundings. Once she trusts you, you’ll be rewarded with her wagging her tail so hard it wags her whole body! She is very polite and a fast learner – she understands the difference between dog toys and things she shouldn’t play with or chew on and she has quickly learned where she is allowed and not allowed in the house.
Rio will do best in a calm household with either somewhat calm dog(s) or no other dogs. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owing and raising a dog as a member of their family. Rio is patiently waiting!
