Meet Pudding Pup! She is a sweet, cuddly, playful, animated 5 month old baby puppy. She is a little shy at first, but then is just a loving snuggle-bug. She’s learning all about the big world, so she can be skittish of new things for a while. She is food motivated, which will help a lot with training.

Pudding Pup knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and goes right into the crate for meals. She wanders and explores on leash, but doesn’t pull. She is fine in the car, and enjoys going on walks. She loves to play with other dogs, once she gets to know them. She’s submissive, so would do best with gentle dogs that won’t chase her. She hasn’t been tested with cats, but seems non-aggressive with the chickens. (She would probably chase them for fun, if she was off leash with them.) She hasn’t been kid-tested, but she’s a little timid and probably would do OK with somewhat older, calmer kids who can understand to give her space and time.

Pudding Pup is a baby puppy, so she has some learning to do. She doesn’t understand about boundaries and limitations – she needs to be taught about not taking people’s food, and not running out the door between your legs. (She is definitely an escape risk.) She doesn’t seem to chew up many things that she shouldn’t, although she did pull some strings out of a blanket. (To be fair, they were sticking out and teasing her.) She is working on house training, and has already learned the doggie door. (She does have submissive urination.)

Pudding Pup is being fostered in El Sobrante.
