Meet Poi!  Poi is the sweetest and fluffiest ball of cotton, with maximum cuteness.   She’s come all the way from Korea where she was rescued from a puppy mill and is still getting familiar with the different language, and different smells, but is slowly adjusting.

Poi is doing well with house training and has not had any recent accidents inside the home. We are still working on going potty on the grass; she prefers going potty on the cement for now.  Poi will take short strolls down the block but the concept of leash walking is still new to her as she likely was never taken on a walk before.

Poi has a very calm, and gentle temperament.  She would thrive in a nurturing home, where she could feel safe and secure.  She is non reactive to other dogs but because of her sweet nature, would do well in a home with other gentle animals alike.  Poi is a shy girl and prefers to keep her distance, but likes to make sure her human is always close by.  She likes to follow her foster around the house, but when her foster turns around, Poi runs back to her safe corner.  We are still working on building trust.  Her adopted family will need to be patient as it will take time to build the trust so she can feel safe in her new home.

She can be left alone for a short period of time but expect her waiting for you by the door when you come home.  Her current foster doesn’t crate her when they leave the house and she is always on her best behavior on her own.

At night, Poi prefers her quiet corner to sleep and rest.  She’s a great companion to take to Sunday brunch as she will sleep in her stroller/carrier.  She’s also the best coworker as she’s very quiet and likes to sleep under her foster mom’s desk while she works.

Poi’s not particularly food motivated, although she eats her meals without any fuss, and she does like American cheese.

Poi is ready to find her furever home.  If you’re ready to fall head over heals in love, come meet Poi.  She will steal your heart with her gentle nature and sweet puppy dog eyes.
