Meet Piper!

Piper is a 4 month old mixed terrier weighing in at just over 7 pounds.  She is as adorable as they come and very smart as well!  She came into the care of Love & Second Chances on January 25th, after being abandoned at the Martinez Animal Shelter with her brother and parents.  Piper is currently loving life at her foster home in Pleasanton where she has plenty of toys and love.  But she is now ready to join a permanent home.

Piper is microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed.  She is healthy, active, playful, eats well, and learns extremely fast.  Already going outside for potty, but she’ll still need patience and additional training to help make her successful in her new environment.

Playtime is all the time unless she is taking a nap (which is often).  Piper LOVES toys, toys, and more toys!  Lots of chew toys are helpful with her teething phase.  Piper loves your lap, whether it’s to be in your face or laying down for a nap.  She thinks it’s her job to make you happy.

Piper does great in a crate, sleeping through the night (which is unusual at her young age).  She is very active and loves a good run in the yard (or around the house).

Toys are Piper’s best friends.  She has her favorites of course, which she will sleep with as well to take outside to play.  Or one day, you may find all her toys on the couch!  She gets along great with other dogs, even quickly learning the limits of the foster’s resident senior dog.

Piper needs a loving family that is ready for all that comes with owning a puppy.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Piper is patiently waiting!
