Meet Oscar! Oscar is an adorable 1 year old Beagle/ Shiba mix. Oscar is such a sweetie!! He still has some puppy energy and loves to play and run around, but does very well in the home. He is the perfect mix between affectionate and independent. He loves keeping an eye and following his humans around, but once he sees and knows where the humans are, he’ll go back to his bed and toys. He likes to snuggle next to his humans on the couch. He takes some warming up to and doesn’t love big hugs, but he’ll be snuggling up next to you in no time.

He’s had some doggy play dates, and he does well with other dogs in his space and visiting other homes. The main challenge he’s had in foster is walking on-leash. He’s a leash puller and will bark at other dogs if he sees them on his walks. He’s just super excited when he sees other dogs and wants to play with them, but the other dog and their owners do get a little concerned when he starts barking! Bringing him to restaurants and shopping with a dog nearby is a difficulty as well.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Oscar is patiently waiting!
