Meet Oliver! Oliver is an adorable 2 year old, 22lbs Corgi mix. Oliver is a really affectionate and sweet guy! He can be a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. He absolutely loves to be loved and just wants to be by his people. Oliver also loves to give kisses! He is very mellow and low energy, but does have his occasional bursts of energy where he’ll do zoomies in the yard. Other than that, he likes to just play with toys on his bed.

Oliver is good with other dogs but does have some resource guarding, so needs to be fed separately. He doesn’t play right away with other dogs until he’s familiar with them and has time to open up. So living with another dog will need an adjustment time before he starts to play and cuddle. Once opened up he loves to cuddle with other dogs and play with them! As long as he is fed separately he would do great in a home with another friendly dog.

Oliver is currently around 80% house-trained, but will make accidents if left alone for a couple of hours. He is still working on leash training. Loud noises like cars and sudden quick movements will scare him and he’ll refuse to walk or even try to pull out of his harness/collar. Because of this we need a home who is very careful, patient, and willing to put in the time to help him overcome his fears. When he’s walking in a quiet and calm area he does great, but busy streets scares him. He does have slight separation anxiety where he’ll cry when left alone, but we found that having company like another dog helps a lot.

Oliver is an amazing little guy waiting to find he perfect forever home. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities and willing to put in the time and patience to show Oliver the world is not a scary place. Oliver is patiently waiting!
