Nico

How cute is this little fuzzball? Nico is an adorable 7 months old Cardigan Welsh Corgi mix. He has only been with his foster mom for a short time, but this is what she knows so far.
Nico is a happy and confident puppy. He is very alert and attentive to the world around him. He seems to be pretty mellow for a puppy but he does like to play. He will even play by himself. He hasn’t gotten into or ahold of anything he is not supposed to and seems to be able to distinguish what is a dog toy and what is not.
He has been great at home by himself while his foster mom is at work. She can’t say for sure that he is potty trained yet, but he does not mess in his pen at night or during the day when his foster mom is at work. However, once he is out of his pen he is not sure where he is supposed to relieve himself. His foster mom is working on getting him used to doing his business when they go for a walk.
He is friendly with strangers and goes up to them to be petted. He seems especially drawn to children (might be their fun energy). He is good with dogs. He will try to engage dogs that are his size and smaller into play, but with the big ones, he is a little more respectful until he knows it is okay.
Nico will be a great companion and family dog. He would be great in a home that can play with him, take him for walks, and continue to help him with his potty training (it should not take long). He will need some puppy obedience training, but is very smart and should learn quickly. Since he is still young he can benefit from increased socialization with other dogs. Right now he loves life and can’t wait to have his own people. Nico is patiently waiting!
