Moo

Name Moo
Gender Female
Age 9 months old (born early June 2021)
Breed Husky, Malamute, and Bull Terrier mix
Weight 45lbs.
Dog Moo is very interested in other dogs, plays well, and was GREAT with the other dog in the home before the older dog bit her and started a fight (now she’s afraid of her and has some anxiety around her – hence why we need to rehome her for her best life).
Cat Moo likes her foster's cat, wants to play, but is still respectful and even sleeps on the bed with her.
Kids Moo has only interacted with the neighbor children, but it’s been positive.
Crate-trained Moo currently spends the night in a kennel but would prefer to be on the bed cuddling with you.
Housebroken Yes
Leash Moo is still young and rambunctious on the harness/leash, but is better with a gentle leader.
Behavioral She could use a manners class, as she does want to counter surf and jump up on you when you come home.
Location Fostered in San Jose, CA

Meet Moo! Moo is an adorable 9 months old Husky/Malamute/Bull Terrier mix. Her mom’s human was sitting outside of Starbucks in Campbell, with this adorable blue-eyed puppy.  Her foster’s son started talking with her and she said that Moo was the last of a litter that her companion husky had unexpectedly had over the summer.  She was waiting for an adopter, because she was headed back to school and could only take the mama.  Unfortunately, the adopter never showed, and she told him she was going to have to take her to the shelter.  He offered to take her and try to rehome her.  That rehoming ended up being with her current foster home.  She’s been with them since Labor Day weekend.

Moo is a sweet, lovable goof.  She’s super smart and learns quickly.  She needs to be able to do her zoomies and loves to run – she is great at fetch.  Bully sticks are her favorite treat, but she is food motivated and responds well to training with small bits of cheese.  A home with children who can play with her would be ideal, as she needs love and attention in all forms.  However, an active adult who can take her for walks or hikes would also work for her.  She loves to play with her stuffy toys, but if she can get the stuffing out of them, she will.  She can play by herself, throwing toys in the air and then chasing them, as well as batting a ball around the yard alone.  But, someone playing with her is her preferred method.  She will cuddle up with you whenever she gets the chance.

We are looking for an active home who understands the responsibilities of owning a dog as a member of their family. Moo is patiently waiting!
