Mochi
Meet Mochi! Mochi was found at one month old on a cold rainy night in a box. On the box there was a writing that said, “black puppy, not dead, feed her”.
Mochi almost didn’t make it due to hypothemia, and was rushed to the emergency room immediately. After two weeks of intensive care he was still unconscious, even the vet was giving up. They discovered there was also severe damage to her brain due to external impact. The rescuer was not ready to let her go, believing Mochi had a chance. She took her home and provided round-the-clock care: thermal insulation, force-feeding, medical support, and a lot of love. Over the period of two months, Mochi gained strength and recovered steadily.
Mochi can now stand and run freely! Unfortunately the damaged on her brain is not 100% recoverable, thus slightly affecting his visibility and coordination. Her vision is not as clear as most dogs, but she is still able to see. When you call her, she will leap towards you happily, but is prone to fall without full control. She will need a home without stairs. Other than that, Mochi has no problem with eating and drinking on her own, she is still getting potty trained and is learning to use the puppy pads. She knows how to hold it in when out on trips, and does not get car sick.
Mochi is super affectionate, cute, lovable, and has an adorable bobble-head like movement We are looking for a patient and caring family who will love Mochi, the little fighter, and give her a forever home. Mochi is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
Special note from the doctors:
Due to the previous damage to Mochi’s head, please mind to avoid having sharp items/edges around her. She needs to be picked up from wet floors and large gaps/steps so that she will not fall and hurt herself again. She cannot be allowed on any stairs by herself.
